W3 Algorand Hackathon 2023 – W3AH’23 is a chance for students to create innovative Web3 projects based on blockchain technologies and the development of smart contracts on the Algorand platform. Projects should propose new e-business ecosystems and models (for health, education, industry, banking commerce, smart cities, etc.). It is possible to design and develop NFT projects as well. Recommended technologies for the development of Web3 projects are PyTeal, Reach and Algorand.
The W3 Algorand Hackathon 2023- W3AH’23 aims to enable students to create and promote innovative Web3 business models and projects based on blockchain technologies.

Algorand is a decentralized, open-source blockchain platform that aims to provide fast and secure transactions for businesses and individuals. It uses a proof-of-stake consensus algorithm called Pure Proof of Stake (PPoS), which allows for fast and efficient block production. Algorand has been recognized into their operations.
Reach is a programming language used to create smart contracts and transactions on the Algorand blockchain. It is designed to be easy to read and write, making it accessible for developers of all skill levels.
PyTeal is a Python library that allows developers to easily write and test smart contracts using the Reach language. PyTeal simplifies the process of deploying and managing smart contracts on the Algorand platform, making it a popular choice for developers working with the Algorand blockchain. PyTeal includes features such as syntax highlighting and error checking, which help developers write high-quality smart contracts.
Algorand support for Reach and PyTeal allows developers to build complex and reliable applications on the Algorand blockchain, increasing the adoption and use of the platform.
W3AH’23 is open for students of all study levels (undergraduate, graduate, specialist, and PhD studies) and high school students, all around the world.
