Lazar Marković: Development of Blockchain System for Supply Chain Transaction Tracking
Graduate student Lazar Marković has defended his graduate paper with the title Development of Blockchain System for Supply Chain Transaction Tracking.
Abstract:
This paper’s research field is the development of a blockchain system for tracking transactions in supply chains. The introductory part of the paper will analyze the concept of blockchain technologies, focusing on examining the possibilities of application in supply chains.
This paper aims to develop a blockchain system that will enable monitoring of the realization of transactions in the supply chain from production, monitoring the state of goods in stock, distribution to wholesale, retail, and purchase by end users.
The practical part of the paper will describe the system architecture and methodological procedure for the development of blockchain systems for monitoring transactions in supply chains. For the developed system, the structure of the business blockchain network will be defined, within which all transactions in the supply chain will be realized.
Also, smart contracts that define the conditions for the realization of transactions between stakeholders in the supply chain will be created. The system will be developed on the Algorand blockchain platform, the back-end part of the system will be implemented in the PyTeal framework, while the front-end will be developed in the React framework. The developed web application will enable the review of all realized transactions in the supply chain, information on the origin of products, the method of production, storage, and monitoring of the state of goods in stock.
